When a drop of blood is applied to the pink test square of
a OneTouch SureStep Test Strip, the confirmation dot on the back of
the test strip turns blue. A confirmation dot that is completely
blue verifies adequate blood application.

The OneTouch SureStep Brand Meter reads the glucose level of a whole
blood sample on a OneTouch SureStep Test Strip and gives a result that
is comparable to a plasma value. The OneTouch SureStep System plasma
calibration allows you to more easily compare your OneTouch SureStep
Brand Meter results with your lab results.

and Handling:

Store your test
strips in their original bottle only.
•
After removing
SureStep Test Strips from a bottle, replace the bottle cap
tightly.
•
Use each test
strip immediately after taking it out of the package.
•
Do not use test
strips that have passed the expiration date on the package.
•
Store in a cool,
dry place not above 86°F (30°C). Keep away from direct
sunlight and heat. Do not refrigerate.
•
Discard test
strips from the bottle 4 months after first opening. Write
the discard date on the bottle when you open it.
•
Do not bend,
cut, or change a SureStep Test Strip in any way.
